Conference Social Program and Educational Activities

                                                                                                        The program may be adapted and change.

Social activities aim to promote intercultural communication and exchange. Activities might change or adjust for unforeseen reasons (ex. weather conditions) and require a minimum number of participants. Accompanying persons can participate paying only the cost of the event.
1st day

(Monday)

Conference Day. See Provisional Conference Program

Greek Symposium (20:00-21:30, approximate time)
This is an example of an ‘ancient’ Greek symposium. We experience the greek way of meeting and exchanging. The meal includes starters, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine or soft drink per person. The event takes place at a Greek restaurant.
Cost of each ticket:  60 euros (not included in the registration fee-pricing may be adapted and change -the activity will take place only  if a sufficient number of participants participate ).

2nd day

Social Dinner (19:30-21:00, approximate time)
 This Dinner is an opportunity to meet and discuss after the end of the conferences academic part. It includes starters, Greek food, dessert. Please note that this dinner is a three-course set menu with a vegetarian option available (please inform in case you are vegeterian). Please note that the dinner IS NOT a la carte and this includes drinks. For any other inquiry, including orders, please ask the Institute’s administration staff, available during the conference and the event.
Cost of each ticket: 60 euros (not included in the registration fee-pricing may be adapted and change-the activity will take place only  if a sufficient number of participants participate ).

3rd day

(Wednesday)

Educational tour in Athens, including the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum (2-3 hours)
Our city tour includes attractions such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Parliament building, the Panathinaiko Stadium, or Kallimarmaro where the first Olympic Games took place. Proceed, passing by Zappeion, the National Garden, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.  We will then pass the famous Athenian Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. And the highlight of our tour, the Acropolis of Athens! With the help of our professional tour guide, we will see the monuments of the Acropolis Hill such as the Propylae (the gateway), the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. You will also be able to visit the Acropolis museum
Please use comfortable clothes and shoes.
Cost of each ticket: 80 euros (not included in the registration fee- pricing may be adapted and change).

Delphi Visit  (07:30 – 19:30, approximate time)
The cost is not included as part of your registration fee.
Lunch is included.
Cost of each ticket:100 euros (pricing may be adapted and change).

OR

Two days Delphi with Meteora
This tichet includes a night at a 3 stars hotel
Cost of each ticket: 150 euros

4th day

(Thursday)

Educational Island Cruise (07:30-20:30, approximate time)
It includes lunch but without drinks. The cost is not included as part of your registration fee.
Cost of each ticket:150 euros (not included in the registration fee-pricing may be adapted and change).
