Qin Guo is a Ph.D. Candidate at City University of Hong Kong, China. She currently works as a part time senior research assistant in the university.
Her research focuses on interpersonal interaction in the contexts of health communication and new media. She has conducted research projects focusing on the following issues: 1) the influence of social norms on college students’ acceptance of HPV vaccine; 2) factors that influence the public display of affection in social networking sites; 3) understanding single womanhood in the Chinese cultural context. She is particularly interested in investigating the family and cultural factors that influence the family communication, children development and socialization process.
