Dr Mihaela Păun

Mihaela Păun has studied journalism and mass communication at the School of Journalism and Communication Sciences (Romania, FJSC, 2003) and got her MA in Management of media institutions from the University of Bucharest (2005). As a Ph.D. student of the Doctoral School in Communication Sciences (University of Bucharest), Mihaela participated in the research projects “Adequate Information Management in Europe” (AIM), Sixth Framework Programme, Priority 7, CORDIS, and “Patterns of media consumption in Romanian rural world: traditional identity, European identity”, the IDEI Grant funded by the University of Bucharest. She was an exchange Ph.D. student in the Erasmus program at Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, Département de communication (2007).
Mihaela Păun worked as public relations specialist for the Ministry of Education and Romania’s first institutional communications agency. She collaborates with the School of Journalism and Communication Sciences since 2005, as an associate professor, and currently is a Ph.D. lecturer. Her fields of teaching are public relations strategies and techniques, introduction to public relations, institutional communication.
