Prof. (Dr.) Manish Verma is a senior higher education administrator with varied experience in academics, research and media industry .Prof. Verma is currently working as Director-School of Communication at Amity University. Previously, he had worked as Director at JICM (Jagran Institute of Communication and Management) Bhopal, and Professor & Head (Fashion Communication) at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Govt. of India.

Other than academic roles, Prof. Verma has also worked as Assistant Vice President (Academic Affairs) and Director (Events) at Amity University. He has also worked in Advertising & Electronic Media industry before shifting to academics.

Prof. Verma conceptualized and organized India’s first International Conference on Media Studies on the topic,” Changing Paradigm of Media Landscape in the Digital Age” in March 2011 and second edition of the same conference in Nov 2015. He has published various articles and chapters on Advertising & Media Production. Prof. Verma is the Founder Editor of Amity Journal of Media and Communication Studies. He has designed curriculum for new programs like MBA (Media Management) and Masters in Film and TV Production.

He was awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by UGC in Media Studies and he completed his Ph.D. in Advertising. Prof. Verma is on the examination panels of various universities and also a member of Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), Singapore.

Prof. Verma has been invited as the Keynote speaker/Panelist in various conferences in India and abroad. Recently Prof. Verma gave a keynote address in International Conference on Advertising in Sri Lanka in Nov 2015.
