Dr Tamara Gazdic-Aleric

Tamara Gazdic-Aleric graduated parallely at the University of Zagreb in Croatian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Journalism at the Faculty of Political Science. She obtained her PhD in linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. In 2016 she was elected associate professor.
She has worked on the Croatian National Television Channel 1’s Department for Information and Politics, Department for Children and Education, Department for Culture, Science and Religion and the network’s Speech and Language Service, as well as in the announcer and proof-reader services of the Croatian National Radio.
Since 2003 she is employed at the Department for Croatian Language and Literature, Drama and Media at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb.
At the same faculty she teaches the following classes: Croatian Language, Rhetoric, Language Culture, Stylistics of the Croatian Language and Integrated Media Culture.
From 2012 to 2015 she was the Vice Dean for Science, Arts and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Teacher Education.
She is a member of Matrix Croatica, Croatian Philological Society, Croatian Society for Applied Linguistics, AILE (International Association of Applied Linguistics) and AERA (American Educational Research Association).
